wwpCommunityPersist

Module: WWP-COMMUNITY-MIB

OID (symbolic): WWP-COMMUNITY-MIB::wwpCommunityPersist

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.6141.2.32.1.1.3

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: To persist the SNMP communities, this object should be set to 'persist'.

A read on this object should return none(0).

What is wwpCommunityPersist?

This object controls whether the device's currently configured SNMP community strings are saved so they survive a reboot, with 'persist' triggering the save and a read always returning 'none' regardless of prior writes. An admin uses it as a one-shot commit action after changing community entries, rather than as a readable state flag, since the object intentionally does not reflect prior persistence. For example, after adding a new readWrite community an admin would set wwpCommunityPersist to persist(1) to ensure the community isn't lost on the next power cycle.
