wsInfraLicActionKey

Module: WS-INFRA-LIC-MIB

OID (symbolic): WS-INFRA-LIC-MIB::wsInfraLicActionKey

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.388.14.1.9.1.2.3

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: OCTET STRING

Access: read-write

Description: This object provides an entry point by which the License Manager receives instruction to alter the list of recognised licenses. Alterations are, for this entry point, limited to:

1. addition of new license types, (a row in the license table);

2. update of the count field of a license table row.

What is wsInfraLicActionKey?

This OCTET STRING is the entry point through which an admin submits a license key to the License Manager, either adding a brand-new license type as a new wsInfraLicTable row or updating the count field of an existing row for a known key. Admins use this object specifically when applying a new or updated license to the switch, distinct from wsInfraLicAction, which only handles deletions. For example, submitting a 40-byte vendor-issued key here that matches an existing license type updates that license's count rather than creating a new row.
