gtBackupControl

Module: WISI-GTSETTINGS-MIB

OID (symbolic): WISI-GTSETTINGS-MIB::gtBackupControl

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.7465.20.2.9.1.5.1.9.3

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: The gtBackupControl controls the module backup process. The gtBackupControl can be set to downloadPrivateKey(1) to download the private key given by gtFilename from the SFTP server. There can be only one private key file stored at the same time. The gtBackupControl can be set to createBackup(2) to create a backup from all modules available in the chassis and upload it to the SFTP server given. The Upload will overwrite the existing backup file. The gtBackupControl can be set to deletePrivateKey(3) to delete the stored private key.

What is gtBackupControl?

This read-write value controls the chassis-wide module backup process: downloadPrivateKey(1) fetches the private key named by gtFilename from the SFTP server (only one key can be stored at a time), createBackup(2) backs up every module in the chassis to the SFTP server (overwriting any existing backup file), and deletePrivateKey(3) removes the stored key. An admin runs createBackup before a firmware upgrade to have a full-chassis settings snapshot to fall back on.

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> WISI-GTSETTINGS-MIB::gtBackupControl

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.7465.20.2.9.1.5.1.9.3.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> WISI-GTSETTINGS-MIB::gtBackupControl.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.7465.20.2.9.1.5.1.9.3.1 i <value>

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> gtBackupControl.1
