What is vmwProdPatch?

vmwProdPatch reports the patch level currently applied to the VMware host, equivalent to what the 'esxcli system version get' command reports. Admins use this to verify exactly which security or bug-fix patches have been applied to an ESXi host, important for vulnerability and compliance tracking. For example, this object might return a value identifying the specific patch bundle installed, letting an admin confirm the host has received a required security patch.
