vmwNsxMServiceComposerOutOfSyncPrecedenceChangeFailure
Module: VMWARE-NSX-MANAGER-MIB
OID (symbolic): VMWARE-NSX-MANAGER-MIB::vmwNsxMServiceComposerOutOfSyncPrecedenceChangeFailure
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.6876.90.1.2.10.0.10
Node type: NOTIFICATION-TYPE
Description: Service Composer encountered an error reordering sections to reflect Policy's precedence change. This generally happens if there are Alarms on any other Policy. Action required: Administrator needs to check Policies and/or Firewall sections for any errors, as reported in the message. After fixing the errors, user would need to resolve the alarm. Alarm can either be resolved from NSX Manager Service Composer UI or by using alarms API. Frequency of traps: This trap is generated only once if a failure is encountered while reordering section to reflect precedence change.
Examples
Send this trap to an SNMP manager — replace <manager> with the IP or hostname of your monitoring server (SNMPv2c):
snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' VMWARE-NSX-MANAGER-MIB::vmwNsxMServiceComposerOutOfSyncPrecedenceChangeFailure snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' 1.3.6.1.4.1.6876.90.1.2.10.0.10
Listen for incoming traps on the manager host (-f keeps it in the foreground, -Lo prints to stdout — useful for testing):
snmptrapd -f -Lo -c /dev/null authCommunity log public
Example snmptrapd log entry:
zoo11-linux.zoo [UDP: [192.168.30.111]:51631->[192.168.30.10]:162]: DISMAN-EVENT-MIB::sysUpTimeInstance = Timeticks: (85116335) 9 days, 20:26:03.35 SNMPv2-MIB::snmpTrapOID.0 = OID: VMWARE-NSX-MANAGER-MIB::vmwNsxMServiceComposerOutOfSyncPrecedenceChangeFailure
