Module: VMWARE-NSX-MANAGER-MIB
OID (symbolic): VMWARE-NSX-MANAGER-MIB::vmwNsxMServiceComposerFirewallPolicyOutOfSync
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.6876.90.1.2.10.0.3
Node type: NOTIFICATION-TYPE
Description: Service Composer encountered an error while attempting to enforce Firewall rules on this Policy. Firewall related changes on this Policy will not take effect, until this alarm is resolved. Action required: Administrator needs to check the rules on the given Policy for any errors, as reported in the message. After fixing the rules in the Policy, user would need to resolve the alarm to bring this Policy back in sync. Policy's alarm can either be resolved from NSX Manager Service Composer UI or by using alarms API. Frequency of traps: This trap is generated only once, if an error is encountered while enforcing the Policy.
Examples
Send this trap to an SNMP manager — replace <manager> with the IP or hostname of your monitoring server (SNMPv2c):
snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' VMWARE-NSX-MANAGER-MIB::vmwNsxMServiceComposerFirewallPolicyOutOfSync snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' 1.3.6.1.4.1.6876.90.1.2.10.0.3
Listen for incoming traps on the manager host (-f keeps it in the foreground, -Lo prints to stdout — useful for testing):
snmptrapd -f -Lo -c /dev/null authCommunity log public
Example snmptrapd log entry:
zoo11-linux.zoo [UDP: [192.168.30.111]:55294->[192.168.30.10]:162]: DISMAN-EVENT-MIB::sysUpTimeInstance = Timeticks: (434480638) 50 days, 6:53:26.38 SNMPv2-MIB::snmpTrapOID.0 = OID: VMWARE-NSX-MANAGER-MIB::vmwNsxMServiceComposerFirewallPolicyOutOfSync
