Module: VMWARE-NSX-MANAGER-MIB

OID (symbolic): VMWARE-NSX-MANAGER-MIB::vmwNsxMFirewallCnfgUpdateTimedOut

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.6876.90.1.2.3.0.20

Description: NSX Manager waits for 2 minutes after publishing the Firewall configuration to each host in the cluster. If a host takes more than 2 minutes to process the data, it times out. Please check the Host in question. See if VSFWD is functioning or not. Also use CLI commands to verify if the rule realization is working properly or not. See kb.vmware.com/kb/2125437. Please collect ESX and NSX Manager tech support bundle and open a SR with Vmware techsupport. See http://kb.vmware.com/kb/2074678 and http://kb.vmware.com/kb/1010705

Examples

Send this trap to an SNMP manager — replace <manager> with the IP or hostname of your monitoring server (SNMPv2c):

snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' VMWARE-NSX-MANAGER-MIB::vmwNsxMFirewallCnfgUpdateTimedOut
snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' 1.3.6.1.4.1.6876.90.1.2.3.0.20

Listen for incoming traps on the manager host (-f keeps it in the foreground, -Lo prints to stdout — useful for testing):

snmptrapd -f -Lo -c /dev/null authCommunity log public

Example snmptrapd log entry:

zoo11-linux.zoo [UDP: [192.168.30.111]:64807->[192.168.30.10]:162]:
  DISMAN-EVENT-MIB::sysUpTimeInstance = Timeticks: (96916775) 11 days, 5:12:47.75
  SNMPv2-MIB::snmpTrapOID.0 = OID: VMWARE-NSX-MANAGER-MIB::vmwNsxMFirewallCnfgUpdateTimedOut
