What is pimStatisticsAssertRx?
This read-only counter tracks the number of PIM Assert packets received on a given VPN, which are used to resolve which of multiple routers on a shared segment should forward a given multicast stream. A rising count here can indicate a topology with redundant forwarders contending over the same link, worth investigating for a suboptimal design.
