Description: A slot status change occurred.

What is vfFrameSlotStatusChange?

This is a notification (trap) that fires whenever a slot in a Videoframe signal monitoring frame changes status, such as when a module is installed, removed, or transitions between operational states. It carries information about the affected slot number, the new status of the slot, and details about the module that is installed in it. Network operators would monitor this to detect when hardware changes occur or when a module becomes initialized and ready for operation.

Examples

Send this trap to an SNMP manager — replace <manager> with the IP or hostname of your monitoring server (SNMPv2c):

snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' VIDEOFRAME-SIGMON-MIB::vfFrameSlotStatusChange
snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' 1.3.6.1.4.1.4596.4.2.8.0.1

Listen for incoming traps on the manager host (-f keeps it in the foreground, -Lo prints to stdout — useful for testing):

snmptrapd -f -Lo -c /dev/null authCommunity log public

Example snmptrapd log entry:
