Description: Set to flash (1) to cause the locate LED on the front of the frame to begin flashing. Set to off to stop flashing. This is used to verify the identity of a particular unit among racks of units.
What is vfFrameLocateIndicator?
This object controls a physical locate LED on the front of the chassis: setting it to 'flash' causes the LED to blink for visual identification, and setting it to 'off' stops the blinking. Operators use this feature when physically locating a specific unit in a rack of similar equipment or when performing physical inventory. It provides a quick visual confirmation without needing to read LCD displays or access documentation.
