requestTimeout

Module: VGK-MIB

OID (symbolic): VGK-MIB::requestTimeout

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2516.3.8.4.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: The number of seconds that can elapse before a request is timed out.

What is requestTimeout?

Sets how many seconds (default 30) can elapse before a request is timed out. An admin raises this for slower back-end lookups, e.g. database queries, that legitimately take longer than the default allows.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.2516.3.8.4.2
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> VGK-MIB::requestTimeout

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.2516.3.8.4.2.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> VGK-MIB::requestTimeout.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.2516.3.8.4.2.1 i <value>
