velocitySystemUptime

Module: VELOCITY-MIB

OID (symbolic): VELOCITY-MIB::velocitySystemUptime

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.15601.1.1

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: TimeTicks

Access: read-only

Description: The amount of time since this host was last initialized. Note that this is different from sysUpTime in the SNMPv2-MIB [RFC1907] because sysUpTime is the uptime of the network management portion of the system.

What is velocitySystemUptime?

Reports how long this Linux host has been running since its last boot, distinct from the SNMP agent's own sysUpTime, so an admin can tell the difference between the OS restarting and just the SNMP daemon restarting.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.15601.1.1
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> VELOCITY-MIB::velocitySystemUptime

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.15601.1.1.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> VELOCITY-MIB::velocitySystemUptime.1
