What is vdslDownMaxSnrMgnNotification?

This object represents an SNMP notification trap that is sent when the downstream Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) margin exceeds a configured maximum threshold. The notification includes the actual SNR margin value as measured by the VDSL transceiver on the far end. Network operators use this alert to identify line degradation and potential service quality issues.

Examples

Send this trap to an SNMP manager — replace <manager> with the IP or hostname of your monitoring server (SNMPv2c):

snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' VDSL-LINE-MIB::vdslDownMaxSnrMgnNotification
snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' 1.3.6.1.2.1.10.97.1.0.8

Listen for incoming traps on the manager host (-f keeps it in the foreground, -Lo prints to stdout — useful for testing):

snmptrapd -f -Lo -c /dev/null authCommunity log public
