What is vcPacketsIn?

This counter tracks the total number of inbound packets counted against a specific Virtual Channel (VC). Admins use it as a packet-level complement to vcByteCountIn, useful for spotting many small packets versus fewer large ones in that traffic class. For example, a VC carrying VoIP traffic would typically show a high packet count relative to its byte count, reflecting many small voice packets.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.2603.1.3.1.1.1.11
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> VC-MIB::vcPacketsIn

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.2603.1.3.1.1.1.11.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> VC-MIB::vcPacketsIn.1
