usrBRStpBridgeForwardDelay

Module: Usr-bridge-MIB

OID (symbolic): Usr-bridge-MIB::usrBRStpBridgeForwardDelay

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.429.4.14.2.15

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Timeout

Access: read-write

Description: The value that all bridges use for ForwardDelay when this bridge is acting as the root. Note that 802.1D-1990 specifies that the range for this parameter is related to the value of usrBRStpBridgeMaxAge. The granularity of this timer is specified by 802.1D-1990 to be 1 second. An agent may return a badValue error if a set is attempted to a value which is not a whole number of seconds.

What is usrBRStpBridgeForwardDelay?

This sets the Forward Delay value, in hundredths of a second (4-30, i.e. 4-30 seconds, in whole-second increments), that all bridges on the network would use if this bridge became the spanning-tree root, in coordination with the value set in usrBRStpBridgeMaxAge.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.429.4.14.2.15
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> Usr-bridge-MIB::usrBRStpBridgeForwardDelay

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.429.4.14.2.15.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> Usr-bridge-MIB::usrBRStpBridgeForwardDelay.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.429.4.14.2.15.1 s <value>

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> usrBRStpBridgeForwardDelay.1
