usdSubscrLocalName

Module: Unisphere-Data-SUBSCRIBER-MIB

OID (symbolic): Unisphere-Data-SUBSCRIBER-MIB::usdSubscrLocalName

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.4874.2.2.49.1.1.1.1.5

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: DisplayString

Access: read-write

Description: The subscriber's name.

If usdSubscrLocalNamePrefix has the value 'enabled', the value of this object serves as the prefix of a full subscriber name. The full name is constructed by appending local geographic information (slot, port, etc.) that uniquely distinguishes the subscriber.

What is usdSubscrLocalName?

This read-write DisplayString (up to 31 characters) holds the subscriber's name for this locally-configured entry, used in cases where the remote subscriber's identity can't be queried directly, such as dynamic IPoA. An admin configures it either as a full subscriber name or, if usdSubscrLocalNamePrefix is enabled, as a prefix the device extends with local port/slot information. Setting usdSubscrLocalName to a specific customer identifier ties this interface's traffic to that subscriber for RADIUS authentication purposes.
