usdSubscrLocalAuthentication

Module: Unisphere-Data-SUBSCRIBER-MIB

OID (symbolic): Unisphere-Data-SUBSCRIBER-MIB::usdSubscrLocalAuthentication

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.4874.2.2.49.1.1.1.1.9

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: UsdEnable

Access: read-write

Description: When enabled, the interface performs authentication with RADIUS server using the configured subscriber information and associated with the incoming data encapsulation (usdSubscriberLocalEncaps).

What is usdSubscrLocalAuthentication?

This read-write UsdEnable, defaulting to enable, controls whether the interface performs RADIUS authentication using this row's locally-configured subscriber name, password, and domain for the associated incoming data encapsulation. An admin disables it if a given interface/encapsulation combination should skip RADIUS authentication entirely, relying on some other access control instead. Leaving usdSubscrLocalAuthentication at its default enable setting is what actually makes the device use the configured local subscriber credentials to authenticate against RADIUS.
