Description: The initial Maximum Receive Unit (MRU) that the local PPP entity will advertise to the remote entity.

If the value of this variable is 1 then the local PPP entity will advertise an MRU value determined by its underlying media interface.

What is usdPppProfileLcpInitialMRU?

This object sets the initial Maximum Receive Unit (MRU) that the local PPP entity advertises to the remote peer during LCP negotiation, with a special value of 1 telling the device to derive the MRU automatically from its underlying media interface instead of advertising a fixed value. Admins adjust this to control the largest PPP frame size the local side will accept, which can matter for interoperability with certain peer equipment. For example, leaving usdPppProfileLcpInitialMRU at its default of 1 lets the router automatically pick an appropriate MRU based on the physical interface type carrying the PPP session.
