Description: Specifies the type(s) of authentication, if any, to be negotiated with the peer: none No authentication is negotiated. pap PAP negotiation only. chap CHAP negotiation only. papChap PAP negotiation is attempted first; if fails, attempt CHAP. chapPap CHAP negotiation is attempted first; if fails, attempt PAP.
Setting this object to none will set usdPppProfileAuthenticatorVirtualRouter object to an empty string.
What is usdPppProfileLcpAuthentication?
This object specifies which authentication method(s), if any, the local PPP interface will negotiate with its peer: none, pap only, chap only, or a fallback order of papChap or chapPap. Admins configure this to enforce authentication on dial-up or dynamic PPP sessions, and setting it to none automatically clears any configured authenticating virtual router. For example, setting usdPppProfileLcpAuthentication to chapPap attempts CHAP authentication first and falls back to PAP only if CHAP negotiation fails.
