usrVHAStatsResetTime
Module: USR-VHA-MIB
OID (symbolic): USR-VHA-MIB::usrVHAStatsResetTime
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.429.4.84.1.17
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: Time1970
Access: read-write
Description: Reading: Time the VHA statistics counters were last reset. The VHA statistics are valid from usrVHAStatsResetTime until present. Resetting counters causes a discontinuity in the monotonically increasing value of counters. Management stations that sample these counters need also to sample this object so that they can know that a discontinuity occurred with respect to the previous sample. Its value is number of seconds since EPOCH. EPOCH is seconds since 00:00:00 UTC, Jan 1, 1970. Writing: Writing 0 causes update of usrVHAStatsResetTime and the VHA counters to be reset to 0: usrVHAConnStats group scalars usrVHARegReqStats group scalars usrVHARegUpdStats group scalars usrVHASecurViolStats group scalars This object replaces usrVHAResetStats
What is usrVHAStatsResetTime?
Reading it returns the time (seconds since the Unix epoch, Jan 1 1970) that the VHA statistics counters were last reset; writing 0 to it resets the connection, registration, update, and security-violation statistics groups to zero and updates this timestamp. An admin uses this both to know how much history a currently-reported counter reflects, and as the modern replacement for the deprecated usrVHAResetStats object. Because counters can wrap/reset, a management station should also sample this object to detect discontinuities before trusting a counter delta.
