usrVHASessionsCriticalAlarmThresh

Module: USR-VHA-MIB

OID (symbolic): USR-VHA-MIB::usrVHASessionsCriticalAlarmThresh

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.429.4.84.10.1.1

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Unsigned32

Access: read-only

Description: The critical alarm threshold for usrVHASessionsCurrent gauge. The value of this object will be automatically set to the lesser of usrVHAMaxSessions or the internal VHA Max session limit, whichever is less. IF usrVHASessionsAlarmState is not 'critical' and the current gauge value is equal or greater than this threshold, THEN usrVHASessionsAlarmState will change to 'critical'. See usrVHASessionsAlarmState for TRAP generation details.

What is usrVHASessionsCriticalAlarmThresh?

It is the critical alarm threshold for the usrVHASessionsCurrent gauge, defaulting to 4000 and auto-capped to the lesser of usrVHAMaxSessions or an internal PDSN limit. When the current session count reaches or exceeds this threshold, usrVHASessionsAlarmState moves to 'critical' and (if enabled) fires the usrVHASessionsCriticalAlarm trap, giving an admin advance warning the PDSN is nearly out of session capacity.
