usrVHAPktThroughputInterval

Module: USR-VHA-MIB

OID (symbolic): USR-VHA-MIB::usrVHAPktThroughputInterval

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.429.4.84.10.4.7

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Unsigned32

Access: read-write

Description: The interval in seconds over which the RP packet counters are sampled (measured) to determine a packet throughput by making a delta between a previous sample and a new sample. The delta is stored in usrVHAPktThroughputValue and thresholds are checked. Value of zero disables RP Packet Throughput alarms and forces alarm state to 'clear'.

What is usrVHAPktThroughputInterval?

It sets the interval, in seconds (default 10), over which RP packet counters are sampled to compute the delta stored in usrVHAPktThroughputValue for alarm evaluation. Setting it to zero disables packet-throughput alarms entirely and forces the alarm state to 'clear'; an admin tunes this interval to balance detection speed against measurement noise.
