usrTftpCFMStatusFlag
Module: USR-TFTP-MIB
OID (symbolic): USR-TFTP-MIB::usrTftpCFMStatusFlag
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.429.4.24.2
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: UsrConfigStatus
Access: read-write
Description: Setting the value of this object to `save' causes the values of the TFTP Group to be written out to the current config file, which is stored in the usrTftpConfigFileName object. While the new ConfigFile is being written, the TFTP process will set the value of this flag to `saving''. Any attempts to set the value while it is not `normal' (i.e. the file is currently being written to the ConfigFile) while result in a badValue error being returned. Setting the value to `normal' will result in no action.
What is usrTftpCFMStatusFlag?
This read-write object triggers and reports the state of saving the TFTP group's settings out to the configuration file named in usrTftpConfigFileName: setting it to 'save' starts the write, the device reports 'saving' while the write is in progress, and 'normal' indicates no pending action. An admin uses this to persist runtime TFTP configuration changes to non-volatile storage, and must wait for the flag to return to 'normal' before issuing another save, since a set attempt while 'saving' returns a badValue error. Setting this object to save immediately after changing usrTftpClientRequestServer commits that server setting to the config file.
