usrSnmpConfigFileName

Module: USR-SNMP-MIB

OID (symbolic): USR-SNMP-MIB::usrSnmpConfigFileName

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.429.4.5.1

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: UsrDisplayString

Access: read-only

Description: The name of a ConfigFile to read/write permanent database records. If the value of this object is an empty string, then the SNMP process uses the default name `@file://SnmpProcess.cfg'.

What is usrSnmpConfigFileName?

This value names the configuration file the SNMP process uses to read and write its permanent database records. An admin cares because leaving it blank causes the device to fall back to the default file path @file://SnmpProcess.cfg rather than a custom one. For example, seeing an empty string here tells an admin the router is currently persisting SNMP settings to that default file rather than a filename they may have expected.

Examples

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> USR-SNMP-MIB::usrSnmpConfigFileName

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.429.4.5.1.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> USR-SNMP-MIB::usrSnmpConfigFileName.1
