Description: The type of mapping

What is usrInverseARPType?

usrInverseARPType reports how this DLCI-to-IP mapping was learned: dynamically via Inverse ARP, configured statically by an admin, marked invalid, or other, per its description "The type of mapping". An admin distinguishes dynamic(2) entries, auto-learned and subject to aging via usrInverseARPAge, from static(3) entries, which the admin configured and which won't expire, when troubleshooting Frame Relay reachability. For example, a usrInverseARPType of static(3) on a critical DLCI tells an admin that mapping was deliberately pinned and won't be aged out even if Inverse ARP traffic stops on that DLCI.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.429.4.73.1.1.4
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> USR-INVERSEARP-MIB::usrInverseARPType

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.429.4.73.1.1.4.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> USR-INVERSEARP-MIB::usrInverseARPType.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.429.4.73.1.1.4.1 i <value>
