usrInverseARPIfIndex

Module: USR-INVERSEARP-MIB

OID (symbolic): USR-INVERSEARP-MIB::usrInverseARPIfIndex

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.429.4.73.1.1.1

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Integer32

Access: read-write

Description: The interface on which this entry's equivalence is effective. The interface identified by a particular value of this index is the same interface as identified by the same value of ifIndex.

What is usrInverseARPIfIndex?

usrInverseARPIfIndex identifies, using the same numbering as the standard ifIndex, which Frame Relay interface a row of the Inverse ARP cache applies to, per its description. An admin uses this, together with usrInverseARPNetAddress since both form the table's INDEX, to know exactly which physical or logical interface learned or holds a given DLCI-to-IP mapping. For example, a usrInverseARPIfIndex value of 5 ties that cache row's DLCI or address mapping to interface 5, the same interface number reported elsewhere via standard ifIndex.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.429.4.73.1.1.1
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> USR-INVERSEARP-MIB::usrInverseARPIfIndex

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.429.4.73.1.1.1.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> USR-INVERSEARP-MIB::usrInverseARPIfIndex.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.429.4.73.1.1.1.1 i <value>
