Description: Defines the Trend Micro enterprise SMI OID tree and registration structure for all Trend Micro MIBs.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is TRENDMICRO-SMI?

TRENDMICRO-SMI is the Trend Micro Inc. root MIB module (enterprise OID 6101) defining the base enterprise OID under which all Trend Micro product MIBs are registered. It carries no data objects of its own — as a structural registration MIB it exists so companion Trend Micro MIBs (e.g., TippingPoint NGFW modules) can register consistent OIDs under the shared enterprise branch. It underlies Trend Micro Inc. security products. Engineers can download the TRENDMICRO-SMI file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in TRENDMICRO-SMI. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Trend Micro Inc. security products

Monitoring Examples

A MIB browser loads TRENDMICRO-SMI automatically when parsing a companion Trend Micro product MIB, resolving the OID branch those modules' objects are registered under.
