Description: This object will return the physical fnb ring into which the station eagle port is inserted. Return values are defined as: 1..200 - Fnb ring 1 to Fnb ring 200 201..254 - AUX ring 1 to AUX ring 54 Non multi-fnb mim boards will always return 1
What is stnAssignPortRing?
This value reports which physical Token Ring the station's eagle port is inserted into, using values 1-200 for FNB ring 1 through 200 and 201-254 for AUX ring 1 through 54, per the source description; non-multi-FNB boards always report 1. A network administrator uses this to confirm a given Token Ring station's physical ring membership when diagnosing Token Ring topology issues. For example, a value of 205 would indicate the station is on AUX ring 5 rather than one of the main FNB rings.
