stnAssignPortAssociation
Module: TR-STNASSIGN-MIB
OID (symbolic): TR-STNASSIGN-MIB::stnAssignPortAssociation
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.52.4.1.1.11.2.1.2
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: OBJECT IDENTIFIER
Access: read-write
Description: This object, when read, would return an OID indicating the board and port to which the eagle port has been inserted. When written, this object will update the board and port data stored in this object. The OID to be passed for reading and writing is: dot5PhysMgmtPortCommonPortId.
What is stnAssignPortAssociation?
This value, when read, returns an OID indicating the physical board and port that a given Token Ring station interface (an "eagle port") has been inserted into, and can be written to update that association, per the source description referencing the dot5PhysMgmtPortCommonPortId OID for the actual read/write value. An administrator uses this to track or reassign which physical chassis slot and port a Token Ring interface is mapped to. For example, reading this object might return an OID pointing at board 2, port 4, showing that station's current physical location in the chassis.
