This is a write-only command object used to reset this port's Token Ring statistics counters back to zero. An admin sets this to reset(1) to clear accumulated error and traffic counters after resolving an issue, so future counts reflect only new activity. For example, after replacing a faulty cable that was causing a rising short-frames count, the admin would write reset(1) to this object to start fresh baselines.
