Module: TPLINK-ETHERNETOAMBASICCFG-MIB

OID (symbolic): TPLINK-ETHERNETOAMBASICCFG-MIB::ethernetOamBasicCfgMode

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.11863.6.60.1.1.1.1.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: Select mode of Ethernet OAM client.

What is ethernetOamBasicCfgMode?

This value selects whether a port's Ethernet OAM (802.3ah) client operates in passive(0) or active(1) mode, per the source description; active mode initiates OAM discovery with the remote peer, while passive mode waits to be discovered. A network administrator sets one end of a link to active and typically leaves the other passive (or both active) to establish the OAM session used for link monitoring and remote troubleshooting on that last-mile connection. For example, setting ethernetOamBasicCfgMode to active(1) on an uplink port lets that switch initiate OAM discovery with the ISP's equipment on the other end.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.11863.6.60.1.1.1.1.2
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> TPLINK-ETHERNETOAMBASICCFG-MIB::ethernetOamBasicCfgMode

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.11863.6.60.1.1.1.1.2.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> TPLINK-ETHERNETOAMBASICCFG-MIB::ethernetOamBasicCfgMode.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.11863.6.60.1.1.1.1.2.1 i <value>
