tnppPCfgCallControl

Module: TNPP-OPT-MIB

OID (symbolic): TNPP-OPT-MIB::tnppPCfgCallControl

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.449.2.1.2.1.1.32.1.4

Description: Specifies the mode for X.25 call generation. dtr - X.25 call is generated when DTR is up. Connection type between TNPP PAD and Paging Terminal is DTR. dataDrv - X.25 call is generated on incoming data. Connection type between TNPP PAD and Paging Terminal is SIMP. powerOn - X.25 call is generated on Node Boot/Power On. Connection type between TNPP PAD and Paging Terminal is SIMP. nc - Skipped during configuration.

What is tnppPCfgCallControl?

This read-only enumeration specifies how the X.25 call is triggered on this port: dtr (when DTR line goes up, for a DTR-connected PAD), dataDrv (on incoming data, for a SIMP-connected paging terminal), powerOn (on node boot, also SIMP), or nc if skipped during configuration. Checking this helps explain why a paging terminal's X.25 connection comes up when it does -- e.g. a dataDrv port won't call out until the terminal actually sends data.
