Description: The status of interface's multiplexer state.
What is tnLOAMIfMUXState?
This value reports the current state of an interface's Link OAM multiplexer, either forward(1) meaning normal data frames are passing through, or discard(2) meaning they are being dropped at the multiplexer stage, per the source's terse description. A network administrator checks this when diagnosing why traffic isn't passing on a link that has Link OAM enabled, since a discard(2) state indicates the OAM sublayer itself is blocking frames. For example, seeing tnLOAMIfMUXState as discard(2) on an interface that should be passing traffic points to an OAM-level fault rather than a physical link problem.
