Description: Change the state of the relay when an alarm condition is active Normal (1): Relay is activated on alarm Negated(2): Relay is de-activated on alarm
What is tnFraRelayAlarmState?
This object controls the electrical behavior of the device's physical fault-relay contact when a monitored alarm condition becomes active: normal means the relay activates on alarm, while negated means it de-activates instead. An admin picks the setting that matches how their external annunciator or NOC wiring expects the relay to behave, since fail-safe wiring schemes rely on the relay doing the opposite of what seems intuitive. For example, setting tnFraRelayAlarmState to negated(2) on a rack wired with normally-closed contacts ensures a total power loss on the device still trips the external alarm.
