Module: TMU-MIB

OID (symbolic): TMU-MIB::fibTmuSecurityModeRun

Description: The currently effective security mode. This is a bit map. This object is only loaded once after reset. To change it, fibTmuSecurityModeRun must be loaded and then system must be reset. BIT(0) - Station security. If set then some ports are marked as being allowed to have only specific stations (station per port). The list of port is specified below. REST - T.B.D.

What is fibTmuSecurityModeRun?

This is a bit-mapped field reporting the currently-effective security mode; bit 0 set means station security is active (only specific whitelisted mac addresses are allowed on marked ports). This object is loaded from non-volatile memory only once, at reset, so changing fibTmuSecurityModePerm requires a system reset to take effect here. Admins read it to confirm whether port-level station security is actually enforced right now, as opposed to just configured. For example, this and fibTmuSecurityModePerm differing after a config change confirms a reset is still needed to activate the new security mode.
