fibTmuPortsRequestType

Module: TMU-MIB

OID (symbolic): TMU-MIB::fibTmuPortsRequestType

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.22.60.5.29.1.21

Description: This is the type of the message sent to the attached Tau for which a response is required. If request-type is 'no-Tau-msg' then no message was sent and, therefore, no request is expected. no-Tau-msg (=0x01) get-configuration-msg (=0x11) get-phantom-msg (=0x21) get-relay-msg (=0x31) attach-detach-msg (=0x41) set-beacon-msg (=0x51) set-active-msg (=0x61) get-all-msg (=0x71) get-changes-msg (=0x81) reset-Tau-msg (=0x91) self-test-Tau-msg (=0xA1)

What is fibTmuPortsRequestType?

This reports the type of message most recently sent to the attached Tau for which a response is expected: no-Tau-msg (none sent/expected), or one of get-configuration, get-phantom, get-relay, attach-detach, set-beacon, set-active, get-all, get-changes, reset-Tau, or self-test-Tau. Admins use it to see exactly what request/response exchange is currently in flight with a Tau when diagnosing a stuck or slow-to-respond Tau connection. For example, seeing get-configuration outstanding for a long time would point to a Tau that's failing to respond to basic queries.
