fibTmuPortsManagerCloseRun
Module: TMU-MIB
OID (symbolic): TMU-MIB::fibTmuPortsManagerCloseRun
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.22.60.5.29.1.5
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: INTEGER
Access: read-write
Description: When setting this object to the value of close (2) the indicated port on Tmu will be closed, the related led will start blinking at a slow rate and port will not be opened before it is set to the value of open (1). Setting to the value of open (1) does not guarantee the opening of the indicated Tmu port but will only allow the Tmu system to let this port into the ring if it obeys the rules of token ring. Reading this object returns the value last set by the manager (or the default value). This command holds only until the next system reset. To make sure it remains valid after reset, use 'fibTmuPortsManagerClosePerm'
What is fibTmuPortsManagerCloseRun?
Setting this to close(2) closes the indicated Tmu port immediately, blinks its LED slowly, and keeps it closed until set back to open(1); setting to open(1) only allows (doesn't guarantee) the Tmu to let the port back into the ring if it follows token ring rules. Reading it returns the last value set by the manager (or the default). Admins use it to manually and immediately shut a specific port, for example to isolate a station causing ring problems without touching any other port.
