fibTmuPortsManagerClosePerm

Module: TMU-MIB

OID (symbolic): TMU-MIB::fibTmuPortsManagerClosePerm

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.22.60.5.29.1.6

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: When setting this object to the value of close (2) the indicated port on Tmu will be closed after the next system reset. see 'fibTmuPortsManagerCloseRun'. Setting to the value of open (1) will only allow the Tmu system to let this port into the ring (after the next reset) if it obeys the rules of token ring. Reading this object returns the value last set by the manager (or the default value).

What is fibTmuPortsManagerClosePerm?

Setting this to close(2) schedules the indicated Tmu port to be closed after the next system reset (see fibTmuPortsManagerCloseRun for the immediate/run-time equivalent); open(1) similarly only allows re-entry after reset. Reading it returns the last manager-set value (or default). Admins use it to persist a port-closure decision across a planned reset, for example when permanently decommissioning a port ahead of a maintenance window reboot.
