fibTmuMatchPortId
Module: TMU-MIB
OID (symbolic): TMU-MIB::fibTmuMatchPortId
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.22.60.3.20.1.3
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: INTEGER
Access: read-only
Description: If greater than 1 then 'fibTmuMatchTauId' is the number of the port on the tmu and 'fibTmuMatchPortId' is the number of the port on the related Tau (starting with port #1 for fibTmuMatchPortId = 2). If less than or equal to 1 then it is a One-Station-Port Indicating that one station is directly attached to the port specified by 'fibTmuMatchTauId'. The information contained in values smaller than 2 may also be deduced from 'fibTmuMatchStationInfow' below. If this object is not valid for the specified instance (station is not on the Tmu but on the trunk), return value is 0xFFFFFFFF (-1). See remark in fibTmuMatchListValid above
What is fibTmuMatchPortId?
This identifies the specific port on the attached Tau that a station is connected to (values greater than 1 mean 'port number on the Tau, minus 1'; values of 1 or less mean a single station is directly attached to the port identified by fibTmuMatchTauId rather than through a Tau). Admins use it, together with fibTmuMatchTauId, to fully pinpoint a matched station's physical attachment point down to the individual Tau port. For example, this distinguishes a station plugged directly into the Tmu from one plugged into port 3 of a Tau concentrator attached to the Tmu.
