fibTmuFunctWrapCwtPerm

Module: TMU-MIB

OID (symbolic): TMU-MIB::fibTmuFunctWrapCwtPerm

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.22.60.8.2.4

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: Time delay to apply, after changing warp relay state. In units of milliseconds. Intended to let TMS get the real ring status. Minimal value: 0. maximal value 200. Factory default: 100. Setting this variable loads it into non volatile memory. The value written into non volatile memory is loaded into the current value only after reset.

What is fibTmuFunctWrapCwtPerm?

This sets, in non-volatile memory, the time delay applied after changing the wrap relay state, intended to let the TMS (token ring interface) settle and report real ring status. Valid range is 0 to 200 (milliseconds); factory default is 100. Setting this object stores the new value for the next reset, but does not change the currently-effective fibTmuFunctWrapCwtRun value until the system is actually reset. Admins tune this so wrap-state changes aren't read too early, before the hardware has had time to reflect the new state, then schedule a reset to apply the change.
