Module: TMU-MIB

OID (symbolic): TMU-MIB::fibTmuFunctRemWrapTypePerm

Description: Parameter indicating the criterion for removing 'wrap': It could be removed when the ring is not beaconing and it could be removed when the ring is not claiming. values: (NOT BEACONING) 1, (NOT CLAIMING) 2 Factory default: (NOT BEACONING) 1 Setting this variable loads it into non volatile memory. The value written into non volatile memory is loaded into the current value only after reset.

What is fibTmuFunctRemWrapTypePerm?

This sets, in non-volatile memory, the criterion for deciding when 'wrap' can be removed: once the ring is not beaconing (value 1) or once the ring is not claiming (value 2). Valid range is 1 to 2; factory default is 1 (NOT BEACONING). Setting this object stores the new value for the next reset, but does not change the currently-effective fibTmuFunctRemWrapTypeRun value until the system is actually reset. Admins choose the criterion that matches how conservatively the system should decide the ring has recovered enough to remove a wrap, then schedule a reset to apply the change.
