fibTmuFunctMaxNoiPerm

Module: TMU-MIB

OID (symbolic): TMU-MIB::fibTmuFunctMaxNoiPerm

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.22.60.8.2.9

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: When several station wants to insert into the ring, this parameter sets the limit on the maximal number of stations which are allowed to insert (other stations are delayed until the next round). If 0 then enable all stations are allowed to insert. Minimal value: 0. maximal value 300. Factory default: 1 Setting this variable loads it into non volatile memory. The value written into non volatile memory is loaded into the current value only after reset.

What is fibTmuFunctMaxNoiPerm?

This sets, in non-volatile memory, the limit on how many stations are allowed to insert into the ring at once when several want to insert simultaneously (a value of 0 allows all of them; others are delayed to the next round). Valid range is 0 to 300; factory default is 1. Setting this object stores the new value for the next reset, but does not change the currently-effective fibTmuFunctMaxNoiRun value until the system is actually reset. Admins raise this to let more stations join the ring simultaneously during a mass power-up, at the risk of more insertion contention, then schedule a reset to apply the change.
