fibTmuFunctDmaThreshPerm

Module: TMU-MIB

OID (symbolic): TMU-MIB::fibTmuFunctDmaThreshPerm

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.22.60.8.2.25

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: Parameter indicating the number of times DMA will attempt retry in case of bus error before giving up. Minimal value: 0. maximal value 30. Factory default: 30. Setting this variable loads it into non volatile memory. The value written into non volatile memory is loaded into the current value only after reset.

What is fibTmuFunctDmaThreshPerm?

This sets, in non-volatile memory, the number of times a DMA transfer will retry after a bus error before giving up. Valid range is 0 to 30; factory default is 30. Setting this object stores the new value for the next reset, but does not change the currently-effective fibTmuFunctDmaThreshRun value until the system is actually reset. Admins lower this to fail DMA operations faster on a system with a suspected hardware bus problem, or raise it for extra tolerance of transient bus glitches, then schedule a reset to apply the change.
