fibTmuFunctAnotherCheckPerm

Module: TMU-MIB

OID (symbolic): TMU-MIB::fibTmuFunctAnotherCheckPerm

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.22.60.8.2.16

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: Indication on whether to perform another check before disabling a port as a cross check. Values: 1 - FALSE, 2 - TRUE. Factory default: FALSE. Setting this variable loads it into non volatile memory. The value written into non volatile memory is loaded into the current value only after reset.

What is fibTmuFunctAnotherCheckPerm?

This sets, in non-volatile memory, whether to perform an additional cross-check before disabling a port. Valid range is a boolean (FALSE/TRUE); factory default is FALSE. Setting this object stores the new value for the next reset, but does not change the currently-effective fibTmuFunctAnotherCheckRun value until the system is actually reset. Admins enable this for extra confidence before a port is disabled, at the cost of a slower fault-isolation decision, then schedule a reset to apply the change.
