tigTokenRingSpeed

Module: TIGER

OID (symbolic): TIGER::tigTokenRingSpeed

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.1978.2.1.2.5.1.3

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: Defines the Token Ring speed used on this interface (in Mbit/sec).

What is tigTokenRingSpeed?

This setting selects the Token Ring bit rate, four(1) meaning 4 Mbit/sec or sixteen(2) meaning 16 Mbit/sec, for the card installed in this PCMCIA slot. Admins must set it to match the actual ring speed the card and the rest of the Token Ring segment are running at, since a mismatch will prevent the interface from joining the ring correctly. It only applies to slots where a Token Ring PCMCIA card, rather than a modem card, is installed.
