Module: TIGER

OID (symbolic): TIGER::apathUserType

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.1978.2.1.6.4.1.7

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: Defines the type of user traffic that is flowing across this Apath connection. This information is really only used when the Tiger is configured ('apathType') for an Apath primary or primary-mute mode of operation.

When it is configured for secondary mode. This field must match the type of user traffic that will be send to it from the remote Tiger.

What is apathUserType?

This setting identifies the type of user traffic flowing across this Apath connection: alc(1), u100(2), or x2x(3). It mainly matters when the Tiger is configured for a primary or primary-mute Apath role; in secondary mode, this field must match whatever traffic type the remote Tiger is actually sending. Admins set it to match the real application protocol riding over this path.
