v35StatsAlarmStatus

Module: TIARA-V35-MIB

OID (symbolic): TIARA-V35-MIB::v35StatsAlarmStatus

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.3174.2.7.3.2.1.1

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Bits

Access: read-only

Description: Specifies the status of the V35 alarm. If the bit is set, it indicates that the alarm state is on. Alarm bits are mode dependent; they are interpreted as follows:

v35-alarms-DTR - DTR not received from DTE (V.35 is DCE) v35-alarms-DSR - DSR not received from DCE (V.35 is DTE) v35-alarms-ST - V.35 adaptor driving ST (V.35 is DCE) v35-alarms-CTS - CTS not received from DCE (V.35 is DTE) v35-alarms-RTS - RTS not received from DTE (V.35 is DCE)

What is v35StatsAlarmStatus?

This bitmask reports which V.35 physical-layer alarm conditions are currently active, such as a missing DTR, DSR, ST, CTS, or RTS signal, with the specific meaning of each bit depending on whether the interface is configured as DCE or DTE. Admins check this to diagnose a down V.35 link at the signaling level, for example telling apart a cabling issue from a powered-off far-end device. For example, on a DTE-mode interface, the v35-alarms-DSR bit being set tells the admin the far-end DCE isn't asserting Data Set Ready, pointing to a cable or DCE power problem.
