tiaraFailOverEnable

Module: TIARA-NETWORKS-SYSTEM-MIB

OID (symbolic): TIARA-NETWORKS-SYSTEM-MIB::tiaraFailOverEnable

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.3174.2.1.6.1.1.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: TruthValue

Access: read-write

Description: This object toggles the failover enable mode for a particular Ethernet interface. The default mode is failover disabled. At present this is only applicable for data using source forwarding on an Ethernet interface. If failover is enabled on a particular Ethernet interface and the Ethernet interface link goes down, source forwarded traffic will switch over to the other Ethernet interface.

What is tiaraFailOverEnable?

Per-Ethernet-interface toggle (default disabled) enabling failover for source-forwarded traffic: if the interface's link goes down while this is enabled, source-forwarded traffic switches over to the other Ethernet interface. Enable this on redundant WAN-facing Ethernet ports where you want automatic traffic failover on link loss.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.3174.2.1.6.1.1.2
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> TIARA-NETWORKS-SYSTEM-MIB::tiaraFailOverEnable

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.3174.2.1.6.1.1.2.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> TIARA-NETWORKS-SYSTEM-MIB::tiaraFailOverEnable.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.3174.2.1.6.1.1.2.1 s <value>
