hssiStatsAlarmStatus

Module: TIARA-HSSI-MIB

OID (symbolic): TIARA-HSSI-MIB::hssiStatsAlarmStatus

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.3174.2.7.2.3.1.1

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Bits

Access: read-only

Description: Specifies the status of the HSSI alarm. If the particular bit is set, then it indicates that the alarm is in ON state. Alarm bits are mode dependent; they are interpreted as follows:

hssi-alarms-CA - CA not received from DCE (HSSI is DTE) hssi-alarms-ST - HSSI adaptor driving ST (HSSI is DCE) hssi-alarms-TM - TM received from DCE (HSSI is DTE) hssi-alarms-LC - HSSI adaptor detects LC (HSSI is DTE) hssi-alarms-LC - HSSI adaptor driving LC (HSSI is DCE) hssi-alarms-TA - TA not received from DTE (HSSI is DCE) hssi-alarms-LALB - HSSI adaptor detects LA and/or LB (HSSI is DCE) hssi-alarms-LALB - HSSI adaptor driving LA and/or LB (HSSI is DTE)

What is hssiStatsAlarmStatus?

This read-only BITS value reports which HSSI alarm conditions are currently active, with bit positions such as hssi-alarms-CA, hssi-alarms-ST, hssi-alarms-TM, hssi-alarms-LC, hssi-alarms-TA, and hssi-alarms-LALB; a set bit means that alarm is ON, and the meaning of each bit depends on whether the interface is acting as DTE or DCE. It gives an admin a quick way to see hardware-level signaling problems on the HSSI link without parsing individual trap events. For example, if the interface is in DTE mode and the DCE stops asserting CA, the hssi-alarms-CA bit would be set in hssiStatsAlarmStatus.
