usrTermProtTelnetClientAccess

Module: TERM-PROT-MIB

OID (symbolic): TERM-PROT-MIB::usrTermProtTelnetClientAccess

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.429.4.18.7

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: This indicates whether to use the client access table. By default, this value will be disabled. If set to enabled, the users can telnet into the HARC only from ip addresses added in the client access table. If the value if set to disabled, the client access table is not referred to.

What is usrTermProtTelnetClientAccess?

This read-write flag determines whether telnet access to the device is restricted to the source IP addresses listed in the usrTelnetAccessTable, defaulting to disabled(2) so the table is ignored. Admins enable it to lock down administrative telnet access to a specific allow-list of management-station IP addresses. For example, setting usrTermProtTelnetClientAccess to enabled(1) means only IP addresses already entered in the client access table will be permitted to telnet into the device.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.429.4.18.7
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> TERM-PROT-MIB::usrTermProtTelnetClientAccess

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.429.4.18.7.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> TERM-PROT-MIB::usrTermProtTelnetClientAccess.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.429.4.18.7.1 i <value>

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> usrTermProtTelnetClientAccess.1
